I have decided that I am going to have the best birthday EVER for my 24th birthday on October 9th!!! I already have everything I could ever need, so this is a perfect time for me to give back. For my birthday, I (and the family members I have recruited) will be performing 24 Random of Kindness around Charleston, South Carolina.

I first saw the idea over at Mix, Mingle, Glow when she did the same thing for her 38th birthday and our engagement photographer, Erin Hession (if you need a photographer in Indiana... she's your girl), did it for her 30th birthday. Go check out their birthday adventures, too!

Imagine how AWESOME the world we be if everyone performed just one random act of kindness a day. I will be posting
to my twitter account (@KatyRAOKS) every time we perform a RAOK. At the end of the day I will post everything
to this blog.

I hope that you will join with me on October 9th and perform at least one Random Act of Kindness!

RAOK #4: Dog treats at the dog park

We loaded up all the dogs and headed to the dog park for our next adventure. I had pre-made a bunch of baggies with dog treats to hand out to owners. This was the first time our dogs had been to the dog park, so we were kind of nervous about taking them. All four of them (my aunt's dog came to visit this weekend) had a blast. All the dog owner's seemed really happy about getting the treats, too.

One of the treat bags went to a high school teacher that works at a high school in North Charleston. She wants me to come talk to her class about my birthday. :-) Fun.

  1. UM Glee?? LOVE IT!I'll leave a comment:) The best thing someone has ever done for me was taking me into their home when I didn't have a place to go. This has happened more than once unfortunately...When my mom passed away, I had a hard time with it and my friends parents took me in, helped me buy my first car, helped me save up for my own apartment. Still they are like "step in parents" to me. Again when I was pregnant my roomie left me in my apartment and I was stranded! Luckily a friend of a friend let me live in their office space for 2mths until I had Chloe and moved here to Charleston. I still miss that old room and the good times I had with them:) I love Blogging hehe!
